Hippy Moment at the Star

It doesn't take much of anything to change a situation from mediocre to great-

After sending the group I was coaching back down to Silver Star Mountain Resort for lunch, I stole a few minutes to myself (ok...maybe more) and headed up the cross-country ski trail towards the summit. Over the last few days, a warming trend hit the North Okanagan resort and turned the white ski trails to mush. This morning, we woke up to a crisp -8C, and about 3cms of new snow on the ground, litterally transforming the grey/brown landscape into paradise - again.

As I cruised up the track in a rythmic shuffle, I couldn't help but smile...
